The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed that Omar Mohamed Ahmed Hassan Alali will officiate the AFC Cup 2023-2024 Final. Alali, a FIFA-accredited referee from the United Arab Emirates, has extensive experience officiating international matches and major continental club competitions.
Other Match Officials Announced
In addition to Alali, the AFC has appointed Ma Ning from China PR as the fourth official. The assistant referees will be Mohammed Al-Hanafi and Hamad Al-Shamsi, both from Saudi Arabia.
The AFC Cup, Asia's secondary club football competition, will culminate in the final on March 4, 2024. The venue for the final has yet to be determined.
The AFC Asian Cup, the continent's premier international football tournament, will be held in Qatar from June 16 to July 16, 2023. The 18th edition of the tournament will feature 24 teams competing for the continental crown.
The 2023-24 AFC Cup marks the 19th and final edition of the competition before its merger with the AFC Champions League. This season's tournament will feature 39 teams from across Asia, divided into 10 groups.
