Apple has released the fifth beta of watchOS 11 to developers today, August 5th, 2024 at 10:01 AM PDT. The update comes two weeks after the release of the fourth beta.
The release notes from Apple do not mention any major new features in this build, but it is likely that it includes bug fixes and performance improvements. Developers can download the new beta from the Apple Developer Center.
watchOS 11 is the latest version of the operating system for Apple Watch. It includes a number of new features, including a redesigned sleep tracker, a new Medications app, and a new Workout app with support for new workouts and metrics.
The public release of watchOS 11 is expected to be released later this fall alongside new Apple Watch models.
In the meantime, developers can use Xcode 16 beta and the watchOS 11 SDK to build the latest watchOS capabilities into their apps.
